Rock slope kinematics analysis by Markland method of the Bener District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java, Indonesia

Bener District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, located in the Kulon Progo Mountains can be classified as a high-risk area. Many experts and researchers have studied landslides, but there has been little research on rock slope kinematics. In fact, when such is unstable poorly monitored, it potential to endanger community or facilities at adjacent site. This why kinematics required. To complete this study, analysis using Markland method was performed six representative slopes. The assessment results show that Kaliwader A, B, Argosari each tend collapse with wedge failure, D Wadas for failure planar slide, C does not. Despite their steep inclination, slopes are likely fail strongly related presence of geologic structures, particularly joints, faults, sites. findings study will helpful development landslide vulnerability zones context disaster mitigation.
